Using sysprep with modified sysprep. Had a nightmate getting XP optuplex an Optiplexhad to resort to an nlite XP disc with integrated sata drivers.
The reg file for the ich10r is on page 11, and it worked for me. Joined Jan Posts 1. I run ghost and image the machine with XPSP3 that includes all of the drivers needed.
Before I try Ned’s most excellent suggestion Guess I was doing this wrong. We’ll see if the registry fix makes any difference.

Oh how I wish Wednesday, January 21, 8: Ciconia, I had a feeling that rebuilding the image from scratch with a base AHCI machine might do the trick. This worked like a charm! Restart and windows should automatically install the ACHI mode drivers.
